 So that your smart home can protect you from meteorological events, the exact recording of the weather on site and the weather forecast is crucial. That is why the weather station records short-term events such as wind, rain, brightness and temperature locally on your smart home. 
 Coupled with the weather forecast that extends up to 66 hours into the future, the weather station offers the perfect all-round protection. 
 
 Position of the Loxone weather station 
 The Loxone weather station records a wide variety of weather data. Before the optimal position of the weather station is selected, it must first be defined which measured values are particularly important for the protection of the Real Smart Home. 
 
 Storms are often the reason why the shading suffers damage. Therefore, please make sure that the wind can be detected by the weather station without braking. 
 Trees, walls and eaves should not slow down the wind before it reaches the weather station. 
 
 The temperature is also a decisive parameter when it comes to protecting the building structure. Since the weather station requires precise brightness detection for the automatic shading system to function reliably, this contradicts the temperature measurement. It is therefore advisable to use the weather service for temperature measurement. This weather service is included with every Loxone weather station. 
 
 Frost and simultaneous moisture can cause considerable damage to the shading caused by icing. So that the Real Smart Home can reliably protect itself from this danger, it is important that the precipitation reaches the weather station unhindered.
