While newer homes often have an intercom system with a camera installed, older homes don't. For those who still want to be able to identify the person ringing the bell, retrofittable doorbells with a video function have been available for several years. One such example is the Video Doorbell WiFi from Reolink. The doorbell button with camera is installed on the front door. A counterpart, i.e. the bell, is plugged into a power outlet in a room of your choice. The acoustic notification is sent via this device. There is also a notification in the associated app, which can be easily installed on your smartphone. Special features of the doorbell include person detection, a night mode, and the ability to start recording a few seconds before a person is actually detected. The data is stored either on an SD card, on an optional Reolink recorder, or in the cloud.

This wired WiFi doorbell supports both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WiFi bands for a more stable connection. Simply place it anywhere within WiFi range. You can also connect it to your existing doorbell wiring. A 15° wedge is included for adjusting the angle.

Yes. You can monitor your Reolink Video Doorbell WiFi using the same Reolink app as other Reolink products.

Where should I install Reolink Video Doorbell WiFi?

You can install the doorbell with camera at the entry points of your property, such as the front door. We recommend mounting it 1.2 m above the ground. A 15° wedge is included for adjusting or adjusting the angle.

Does the video doorbell support 24/7 recording?

Yes. You can set Reolink Video Doorbell WiFi to record continuously 24/7 to a microSD card (not included) or NVR. Or you can set it to start recording only when a person/motion is detected during scheduled time periods.

Can I use Reolink Video Doorbell WiFi offline?

Yes. Without an internet connection, the doorbell with camera can still detect motion/people and record video to an SD card (sold separately). However, it cannot send alerts to your mobile devices, and you cannot view it live.
When the Chime is connected to the doorbell, it will ring when the doorbell is pressed, regardless of the internet connection.
